2 previous miscarriages, I'll be 9 weeks tomorrow. I'd like to wait to tell friends, but my DH is anxious to tell our friends. Our immediate family (Parents, siblings, and a few select aunts/cousin knows). When would you tell?
Re: When would you tell?
whenever you are comfortable - If you want to tell someone now, just tell the people that you are closest too, that would be good support SHOULD something bad happen (God forbid) and that you would be comfortable talking to about it - and they would be good support for you.
Happily Married Since 11.29.02
Brayden Kenneth born 3.27.06
Blaire Kay born 7.10.10
Ditto Tiff. After my first mc (2nd trimester) and my second, we waited until 12 weeks when we were pregnant with Mara. With Jude, once I saw a heartbeat at my weekly appointments once or twice, we were fine with people we saw on a regular basis knowing. We didn't make it public knowledge til a bit later (besides work, since I was so sick, work knew pretty early) but we were sure to let the people know who we knew would support us should something bad happen.
Tell people when you are comfortable and who you know will support you through the pregnancy. It's whatever is right for you
We told our parents/siblings at 7w, but that was only because it was Christmas. Everyone else was 12 weeks. I wouldn't have wanted anyone to know had something happened.
You tell when you feel comfortable. Just remember that once you tell someone, it spreads pretty quick. People are so excited and can't keep a secret.
