I've never had a pet that required grooming so I didn't even know what was common practice. This is such a sad article, but if any of you have your pets groomed this might be something to inquire about.

    I'm not going to read the article b/c I'll cry...but luckily where I go, they don't use cage dryers. I always wait at the groomer when I take Pumpkin. She gets really scared and has tried to bite a few people plus they finish her faster if I sit and wait... but the place I use now, they love her and say she's no problem at all. But I still wait there for her because she haaates it and I feel bad :(

    It's just horrible. I can't even imagine what that poor pup went through or what her owners have gone through knowing that she suffered. It is good to hear that they don't use them anymore, but it's sad that something like this had to happen for that to take place. (That's me assuming that it may have been in response to this issue.) I just wanted to post it incase anyone here wasn't aware of whether or not their groomers used these. I've only ever owned really short haired dogs, so I didn't even know what they were.

    Thank you for posting this. I'm 90% sure that our groomer doesn't use cage dryers but I'm going to ask before I take Amsterdam back. I can't imagine how devastated the owners of that poor dog feel.
