Can I brag for a minute?

I have to brag to someone who understands. I'm really, really proud of myself this week. I watched a 3.5yr old, 2.5yr old, 14 month old (G) and a 4 month old, honestly it went so well! I'm really proud of myself-the kids are having fun, I'm not going crazy and I'm really enjoying myself!

My mom actually told me I'd never last watching all them and made me rethink my decision. But I'm glad I didn't back down. The kids are really great kids. Of course, there are some really, really, crazy moments but I love it so far! I'll actually be sad to see the 3.5yr old/14 month old go to another daycare :-( (I was just watching them to help out a friend).

Gianna is learning that it's not all about her 100% of the time, which is good. Someday she'll have a sibling to share mommy with (god willing!) and I think she's becoming a little more independent.

I'm also proud to say I'm bringing in some money now-it feels good to not depend on my hubby so much ;-)

Now brag about yourself too! I don't want to be selfish!

Re: Can I brag for a minute?

  • Yay for you!! This job sure does have some crazy, CRAZY moments, but it is SO worth it! Every day I find something I am proud of! Sometimes it is a little extra cash helping someone out, sometimes it is that everyone is napping. I have fun with the kids in my house and I am so pumped that on Monday I have an almost 4yo and an almost 3yo starting! I have been prepping fun crafts and coming up with ideas all week. You just make the best out of your day and try to enjoy it! Staying home without making any money isn't an option for us, but I found a way to make it work and I love it!
  • you looked totally in your element today at the park, great job!  Sorry we had to bail so quickly, gretta had to go to the bathroom and we decided to go back to our friends house rather than visiting the public restrooms.  i'm in awe that you can bring that many kids to the park with you and look so under control when they weren't your kids, so you didn't have time to get used to 3 kids.

  • Allie: Would you send me some crafty ideas? I have a few that B-the 4 yr old loves to J-the 2.5yr old doesn't really love the crafts. I think they may be a little to mature for him. Do you have some fun crafts that will keep the younger ones attention longer?

Jaime-Thanks! They are really well behaved kids so they make it really easy to take out in public! We got rained on quite a bit-it was probably a good idea to bail early!
