I have an internship interview next week at an inpatient rehab hospital. I tried to ask when confirming my interview time via email but the question went unanswered. I didn't say "what do I wear?" I asked more about if their facility therapists wear scrubs. I don't want to show up in scrubs if they are in business attire, and I don't want to show up in business attire if they are in scrubs because bodily fluid is one of many things that is "normal" to encounter at this job. Which way would you go?
If I wear scrubs I only have 3 choices- red, robin's egg blue, or pink. Which is best? I know they're loud colors, but I work with kids right now so they are ok and I don't want to buy a new set if I don't get the job/they don't wear scrubs ect.
If I go more business dress I would keep it understated with khakis (since it's not a typical business setting) and a button down white shirt and nice flats.
Any suggestions?

Is it a straight interview or is it an observation or shadowing type thing? Have they said you will be out on the unit? If not I would definitiely NOT wear scrubs.
No scrubs and no khakis. Absolutely not. Wear a simple suit or slacks and a jacket or NICE cardigan.
Seriously, interns who dress like crap get laughed at.
None of those sounds appropriate to me.
It's an interview, not a day at work there. Dress like you would for an interview anywhere else. Maybe not a full suit, but dark pants, a nice top, and maybe a sweater or jacket. Just in case, bring the scrubs in some sort of nice bag or something in case you need to change and actually shadow someone.
Or call them. And ask if you're shadowing anyone or if it's just a sit-down interview.
