The first 4 were picked from my garden this morning.
I was removing some dead leaves and suddenly, when I apparently moved a leaf, I saw them. Hidden far, far underneath the plant, in a place where the sun doesn't come, but apparently warmth does stay, there they were. 4 red tomatoes.
I can't wait to have a salad tonight!

Re: I have red tomatoes
If you've been having the summer that we've been having, this seems miraculous! Enjoy your yummy tomatoes!
Thanks, and yup, I've been begging the weather gods to give me sun and warmth instead of rain and cold to ripen my tomatoes. Summer has been super-crappy here as well. (Explaining why I actually felt the need to post about my red tomatoes, it really is a miracle!)

I have no idea if I'll actually do it, but I am uber jealous of your 4 red tomatoes and I don't even like tomatoes!

If those had been my tomatoes, I don't think they would have made it to the table! I'd have gone after them with a sharp knife and a salt shaker and eaten them standing at the kitchen sink:-)
It was hard to restrain myself, but the salad was perfection!
