I'm done BF'ing!!!! Yaaaaaay!

I had started the transition a few weeks ago and had been only nursing her in the mornings and before bed.  She has done awesome with both replacing a feeding with milk and with dropping bottles entirely. As of 2 weeks ago, she hasn't used any bottles. My mom had been mixing her bottles with 1/2 BM 1/2 milk but she was actually starting to prefer it not mixed so I even have some leftover frozen BM that I haven't used.

During the whole process I followed her lead. Her top teeth popping helped I think because she had no desire to nurse (or eat for that matter).

A few nights she unlatched pretty quickly at the bedtime feeding so I decided to see how she did without it.  Yesterday morning she overslept (13 hrs!) so I decided to not nurse her in the am and just send her to my mom's with a sippy of milk. She did amazing and slept another 13 hrs last night so I didn't bother even attempting to nurse this morning. I haven't had any issues with fullness, leaking, or anything so I think I dropped pumping/nursing gradually enough.

SO....I'm done!  I also finally got my period back last month so my body was naturally finishing up.

I'm not sad about it. After pretty much an entire year, I am ready to be over it.
