General Advice
From my reading, I'd say it is a good suggestion to take your measurements tonight or tomorrow before you start!
Good luck!

Tell them to Shut the Front Door
That's just not cool.
My dad does that too on occassion..with the phrasing "how is the weight losing going?" "going to the gym?"...but at least it's my dad and not my ILs...we'd have serious issues if they said something.

I'd join you girls but I'm doing the Body for Life program and it's going sooo awesome! I loooove it! So we can hold each other accountable for workouts... I'm working out 6-7 days a week doing a very focused and prescribed workouts for upper body, cardio, lower body, cardio, etc... I love it.
Good luck with the Shred! It's quite the workout!!
I'm about to put in the DVD now... so pumped for this! I actually ran 6 miles this weekend in preparation for Jillian.
ETA: the weight comments from your ILs, Maria, are just dumb. They should mind their own business.

Kate's Recipe Box || Relatively Bookish
I'm going to try it this afternoon. There is a community run each day for the rest of the week. (it was all summer). I hope I won't be too sore. I realize I may have to work up to even week 1.
Maria- I agree that your ILs are way out of line with weight comments.
I read somewhere that some people mute Jillian and play their own music..lol

I was just about to suggest this. I've done it a few times because I hate the music they play in the background. It's very Monday Night Football circa 1996.
If that doesn't work though and you just can't stand it, then by all means do something you enjoy! No need to be miserable while working out.

Kate... I agree... if you don't at least semi-enjoy working out, you wont stick with it... could you mute it like suggested or will she still bug you?
Maybe you could come up with your own workout for 30 days. I'm doing a different program but still enjoy the accountability and talking about it.
