This weekend flew by! I had yummy Indian food lunch with friends and did some retail therapy Saturday. Had dh take me out in my new skirt. Today just worked around the house. Sanded the desk I'm refinishing.
The weather was so yucky and humid today, which is unusual for us.

Friday was not a fun day as we attended my grandfather's funeral. His death was not a surprise, but it's still emotional. He was my last grandparent to go and I was very lucky to have him and my grandmother as long as I did.
Saturday I did some much-needed weeding in the yard. Later in the day DH and I played volleyball with some friends.
Yesterday I had brunch with my family and we went to check out a weekly local fair called the SOWA (South of Washington St.) Open Market. Then we prepped the house for MIL's visit starting tomorrow (i.e. cleaned up some of our crap
).
Friday night we went to see Cowboys & Aliens with H's family. I despise alien movies, which was only confirmed after that, and I told H that he was the first responder if I had nightmares (I didn't.).
Saturday we went to see Wizard of Oz as performed by the summer camp kids at Stage Kids CA, a musical theater arts academy where I teach voice during the year. It was adorable and many of my students were in it, so that was fun.
Yesterday we came back to our apartment after house sitting for my mom all week. We went grocery shopping and I got coffee with a friend, and then H and I just hung out at home.

It was a great weekend. Friday night dh and I bbq'd and watched a movie.
Saturday DH and another couple friend went up to Donner Summit to a CalRock event. It's a big rock crawling competition. We got to watch lots of rigs flip over and do some crazy moves. Then we went to another couple friends house for pizza/beer and movie night.
Sunday we hung out around the house, got a few chores done and then I went shopping while the hubs worked on his jeep.
