Phone trouble...

So, lastweek I finally gave into DH and decided to eliminate our home phone.  And today what happens?  Levi decides to put my cell phone in the toilet!  It didn't get totally submersed...but he put it speaker end first.  I grabbed it, tore it apart, wiped it off, and decided to put the hair dryer on it.  Thought it was fixed.  DH just called me and could barely here me.  So now I have it sitting in rice, and from what I've read, it has to sit in rice for hours to days.  I am now sitting at home with no way to contact anyone....

Re: Phone trouble...

  • oh no! do you have an old phone? this is why I always keep my old phone...I had a phone get wet and die once and luckily I had my old model to use until my contract was up for a new one. Of course the old model had a dying battery and lacked a lot of features but was better than having to buy a new phone. I think you can also buy phones on like eBay and switch your plan for less than buying a new one through the carrier. But I don't know the details.

  • No I don't.  My old phones are AT&T.  My Droid is Verizon, we just switched over  around Thanksgiving.
