Thank you note question

It's been a long time since I've had to look for a job so i don't know what to do.

I had an interview at a small vet clinic for a part-time assistant/receptionist position, I think the interview went really well and I want to follow-up with thank you note. So should I type out ultra formal letter or a nice hand written personal thank you? It was a pretty informal interview.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: Thank you note question

  • The type of interview doesn't really dictate the type of TY note. I've only heard of typed letters if someone's handwriting is illegible. A nice handwritten note would be nice, or e-mail TYs are becoming more popular.

  • Hand written note and try to mention something specific from the interview.

  • Definitely hand written. It may feel "corny" but it goes a long way and can totally set you apart from other interviewees who may have overlooked this necessary step of the interview process!
