    L: grilled chicken caesar salad with lowfat balsamic vinegarette dressing

    D: Vi Shake with almond milk and frozen berries

    S: pretzels with hommus, cheddar cheese stick

    E: 1st day of the 30DS after my appointment (so around 5:30pm)

  • B: toast (home made bread!) with margerine and applesauce.

    s: possible chai tea with soy from the buck since the twin is coming to visit

    L: not sure, if at home, turkey sandwich and a peach... if out, probably a grilled chicken sandwich.

    D: veggie risotto and roasted potatoes.

    E: 30DS - I noticed that, although it's no picnic, the level one workout wasn't as difficult as it used to be for me. The pushups still suck, but I was able to keep up this time which is somethign I've never been able to do before. I blame it on the running. :)

    Also, I made a badge for our siggies if anyone is interested.

  • Maria... are you doing the shred and the dance class?!

    B: Banana before working out, protein bar after working out

    L: Sandwich... either Subway or my whole wheat sandwich thins with turkey, spinach, tomato, low fat cheese and maybe some zuchini

    D: Salmon, zucchini and rice

    Snacks: Fruit most likely, maybe another dose of zucchini, lol (got a bunch of homegrown ones from my sis)... I play snacks by ear depending on what I feel like but try to stick to fruits and veggies... though I like the idea of Sarah's hummus... maybe should hit the store and get that and some cottage cheese... need more protein. :)

  • Oops, forgot exercise.... today is upper body, so I'll do my five minute treadmill warmup... then strength training. I'll be doing Shoulder presses and lifts, back lat pull downs and bench back lifts, bicep curls and reverse curls, rope tricep pulls and another tri machine, dumbell bench press and push ups (I hate doing push ups in front of people but they really do work my chest... though I may chicken out and do the chest machine, lol).... then I'll stretch. I may also throw in a swim afterwards for a little extra cardio and the jacuzzi, lol.... I alternate my days between upper body, cardio, lower body/abs, cardio, etc... it's working great. I can easily jog a mile and a half now and am spending 20 minutes of cardio running at a pace of 4.5 mph or higher and I don't have to stop to walk anymore... I think the strength training really is making a big difference. I like that about the 30 DS... you go girls! :)

    E: 30 min run on elliptical at the gym; double-walk for the dog today 

  • I survived day 1 of 30 DS! Yipeeee! Legs are a little shaky....

  • B - Sweet potato oatmeal, yogurt, pineapple

    L - Whatever's ripe in the garden

    D - BBQ Chicken, Green beans, cornbread

    S - Brownie batter bites

    E - 30 day shred (at least half? lol), core, zumba for wii
