Best: Being done painting the nursery, buying all the fabric for the nursery, going to dinner with friends friday night
Worst: Spending way too much on the fabric for the nursery! My genius DIY plans to save money are costing us more. ooops!
I'm back from a week at the beach so my Manic Monday covers a lot!
Best - wonderful beach vacation with my parents, brother, SIL, nieces and MIL/FIL. Great time alone with DH and lots of AJ time. Seeing AJ learn so many new things in 1 week, great weather, going for runs with DH.
Worst - dropping AJ off at daycare this morning
Best: Getting fitted for running shoes and having a great run. Making an awesome Lamb and cherry tagine yesterday.
Worst: Not feeling so hot on Friday.
best - saw Cowboys&Aliens on Sun w/ DH and my dad. Went to the new Whole Foods (2x!) too. What an amazing store! There were a lot of local foods. We love that. Hit the pool. Got DH another pillow - he loves this one. Its a Hotel collection from Macy's. And I got Peacock blue S&P shakers to match our dishes.
worst - we spent over $500 this weekend. FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS. Its all in the budget, but dayum. Dining out, groceries, Target, more groceries, movies... it all adds up!

My Nest Bio and Cycling Advice
Worst - having my mother be in critical condition on life support, and having to make all of her medical decisions. Having awful discussions on what to do about possible funeral services, money, who will take care of my dad, etc. It's been horrible.
Best - being able to spend time with my family even under bad circumstances. Seeing yet again what a wonderful man my BF is, how strong, loving and supportive he has been for me through this rough time, and seeing how he treats my family as his own.
Did you go to the Bele Chere festival in Asheville this weekend? One of my favorite bands was playing, and I soooo wanted to go! If we didn't have so much to get done around here this weekend, I would have dragged the family to Asheville.
Best: Umm.. nothing really.
Worst: Not really doing anything fun this weekend because we had too much stuff to get done.
we did indeed. it was HOT. and my lord at the hippies...if i never see a middle-aged man with a beer belly rocking super short cutoff jorts and no shirt...it will be too soon.
but it was also a lot of fun, even if we didn't really partake in the music parts

worst - getting caught in the rain at the park with baby k on sat. luckily her stroller kept her pretty dry - the rest of us and our picnic were pretty soaked!
