That is the last part of our trip that we need to book. We won't have a car so we need to be somewhere close enough to walk everywhere. We'll be there for 3 nights.
Re: Hotel Recs for Florence?
When we went in April we stayed at the Hotel Hermitage. It was affordable and clean though not super nice, standard 3 star hotel.

What I can say is the location was amazing, we were less than 2 blocks from the Uffizi Gallery and 1 block from the Ponte Vecchio we walked all over the city and felt close to everything. The rooftop terrace was also amazing for views of the city and a place to relax in the morning/evening.
We stayed here on our honeymoon. Thought it was absolutely gorgeous and it's literally on the Arno and about a minute walk to the Ponte Vecchio.
I love the Fodors message boards for hotel recs, too.
Last October, we stayed at a B&B called La Dimora del Centro:

Moderately priced, GORGEOUS rooms, quiet, centrally located in the Piazza Republica. When you book your hotel also have them book your reservations for the Uffizi and Accademia.
Pictures of our trip to Florence last year (there are a few of our room):

Search for them on tripadvisor for more pictures.
So Tasty, So Yummy
Actually that is one of the ones we looked at as we may be able to get a discount there and stay for a pretty low price. DH was concerned it may be too out of the way.
