Ugh. I got absolutely no where with the car dealership this morning until I started bawling on the phone. So freaking ridiculous. It went from well, we might not get to look at it today and it probably isn't the alternator and your warranty is up and just general jack assishness, to a completely different person when the tears started to flow. Ridiculous. And no, my warranty is not up and yes, it was checked yesterday and it is the alternator.
Dammit, I hadn't cried about it once until Mazda pissed me off this morning. And yes, this has just pissed me off all over again that my husband went and bought this car without talking to me about it.
Re: Crying Woman "Wins" Again
What pisses me off even more is that I was very calm at the start of the call and even when I started to get frustrated, I told him that I realize that it is not his fault my car is there and to please understand that I am frustrated to have a car with not even 22K miles on it sitting in his shop. He was rude, so I let the tears start flowing and then he got nice. Just pisses me off to no end.
I wan't going to bring this up, but I was wondering.
Hey - you gotta do what you gotta do! There's no shame in crying! Especially b/c of hte ridiculousness in the situation. Less than 6 months, an alternator goes out? Unacceptable!
You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say will be misquoted and used against you. My Blog
So true - when you get mean, they just get defensive, so IMO, you were putting your best "tactic" forward!
So Tasty, So Yummy
Yippee. Got my car back yesterday. Funny how he went from not being able to look at it yesterday to it being ready by 10:00 a.m.
Also funny...AutoZone swore up and down it was the alternator. Mazda said the alternator was fine, but the battery was shot. We replaced the battery and it's been fine. I am so annoyed that the whole towing, working from home, having a friend spend the night and take the kids to daycare so I could deal with it could have all been avoided if the AutoZone meter thing was right. Oh well, live and learn.
