Are you the type to hold a grudge or do you forgive and forget easily?
Re: Poll: Grudges
I'm a definite grudge holder, but I try to not let it affect how I am around the person.
For example -- I love my dad and it's not worth ruining our entire relationship over, but I don't know if I'll ever actually forgive him for showing up to my wedding rehearsal drunk, telling off-color jokes in front of my soon to be in-laws and all of the kids in the wedding party, and then actually bolting from the rehearsal dinner immediately after finishing his meal (before speeches, parent gifts, etc) because he and step-mom wanted to go swimming in the hotel pool before it closed for the night.

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
For the most part that's me too.
Now...C on the other hand, he's a HUGE grudge holder.
this.. life is too short... however, there are two people in my life i will never forgive... only because their actions spoke louder than words.
my husband is a huge grudge holder..
Hello. I've waited here for you. Everlong<3<br>
Jay is a huge grudge holder too!
my read shelf:
I am HUGE grudge holder. B is forgive and forget big surprise. Not
I really only have one situation where I 'forgave and forgot'.. I had a friend whose mom was sick around the time of our wedding and being caught up in my own la la world we had a falling out... she came to our wedding in Jamaica (more power to her cause I'd probably taken the trip and not shown up to the wedding!) but after that we did not talk for over 2 years. Then last year after my dad got sick I started realizing how terrible some friends can be when you really need them and realizing that this is what I probably did to her, I got over myself and messaged her asking if she wanted to get together last November and we literally picked up from where we left off and I'm so glad because she is a bifff
Yes I hold grudges. I usually only forgive someone if they acknowledge what they did and apologize. I never forgive on my own.
All depends. There is someone who was in my life that I held a grudge against and I still do. But she did a lot a damage to me and my family.
Right now, I don't know what I'd do.
Could not have said this better.
I hate fighting, I hate breaking any kind of peace so i try to avoid any arguments at all cost in my life - therefore, if one occurs I generally don't hold a grudge.
that being said... if the circumstance calls for a grudge I am a mean grudge holder... and its hard to break that grudge.

Sometimes it is productive. It's better than telling someone that they are an assshole over and over and over again.
