Here's the article I just read.
Maybe it's too soon to be asking this, but does this mean that I can have any birth control pills I want for free (with prescription, I assume)? Like now, I'm basically limited to generics because of my insurance, and I've had issues with bcp lately, so can I now try brand names? Or go back to Yaz?
So many questions! Does anyone have any insight on this?
Re: Free birth control?
It sounds like it. I don't know for sure but maybe call either your dr or insurance? I know you've had BCP issues so this is great news for you!
As an aside - funny how viagra is on the same shelf with the bcp's.....
PCOS and Endo
Ovarian drilling and endo removed 1/3/12
BFP - 3/27/12
Beta's 11, 14, 57, 637, 2800
Sono showed no baby and teeny tiny sac. Waiting to M/C naturally.
I was wondering about that too. But interesting article and it couldn't hurt to ask, it would be great if you could actually get the BCP that doesn't drive you crazy.

I hadn't heard anything about it until this. Bravo for free birth control - and I hope it means that you can have any birth control (with a Rx), not just the one that your insurance chooses for you.
