I think we really need to get away this weekend. It's super last minute and summer so I'm sure it will be near impossible to find anything, but where should we go? We need recs in driving distance of Maine. Up to like 5-6 hours is ok since we do enjoy road trips. Any longer than that wouldn't leave us much time anywhere. We've been to bar harbor and Boston recently so we need to think outside the box!

This sounds amazing! Just to tour Ben and Jerry's would make a trip from Maryland worth it!

The factory is on Rt.100 in Waterbury, VT just south of Stowe. My grandparents own a house near there and I've been a bunch of times.
If you do go there I highly recommend checking out Stowe. It is a very quaint town and there's stuff to do around the mountain. They have a gondola ride you can take to one of the peaks and there's a restaurant on top. They also have an alpine slide which is a lot of fun. You can also drive through Smuggler's Notch.
Jaime, I'm not sure if B&J does weekend tours...so call ahead.
You could also stay near Queechee VT which is really cool and visit Simon Pearce which is amazing! http://www.simonpearce.com/?gclid=CJOBvojQsKoCFYRd5QodOg6f9g they have a super fancy restaurant there too. The gorge at Queechee is beautiful and would make for some amazing photo ops.
You could stay where K and I got married - the Jackson Gore Inn at Okemo Mountain in Ludlow VT - http://www.okemo.com/okemowinter/lodginganddining/slopesidelodging/stayslopeside_jgprocedures.asp
It is beautiful and I could recommend other restaurants near by if you are interested - I grew up about 20 min north of Ludlow.
email me if you want more info or anything!
