the next 2 years will be quite the challenge
DH gets deployed June 23 (just over a week after stella's first birthday) for a minimum of 9 months. to qatar (this is non-combat). leading up to that, its going to be a struggle: monthly drills will now be 3-4 days rather than 2 days. he will be gone 21 straight days in april or may as prep. he just returned after 9 straight days gone for guard stuff and that was a challenge at times! i always knew this would be a possibility but in the 5 years we've been together it never actually happened. the really unfortunate thing is over the past year i've really learned who my friends were when i quit going to the bars and then got pregnant. i fear this will be a lonely existance for me.
