Rockland county ladies, a question......

I'm moving to Suffern today and learned that Cablevision will not service my rental building.  The other choices I was told was Verizon Fios (which I'm also not sure will service my building) or satellite (Direct TV, etc).  Can anyone recommend one or the other?  Cablevision was recommended to me, but that isn't going to work......

Re: Rockland county ladies, a question......

  • I used to have Cablevision when I was renting, and now we have Verizon Fios in our house. I actually prefer Verizon to Cablevision ten fold. I don't have any experience with satellite, so I have no opinion there, but I would definitely recommend Fios. Welcome to the neighborhood!

I've had both too, and like Fios so much more than Cablevision.

Hello. I've waited here for you. Everlong<3<br>
  • I'm suprised to hear that cablevision wont service your building. Oh well

We had Dish Network when living in Rockland and currently in our home now.  I have no complaints about them. Great service, never loose picture, even in storms. And they have great packages. Only negative thing is they dont offer phone/internet thats comparable to cablevision or Verizon!

  • Welcome to Rockland!
  • First, Welcome to Rockland!

So, I've had both Cablevision and now we have DirecTV.  I loathe Cablevision. I LOVE DirecTV.  The only reason why we have issues in huge storms (like this evening) is because the dish got knocked by a branch and we never called the guy to come fix it.  Other than that, we have no issues and enjoy all the "free" stuff they give us.  We're getting Showtime for free right now.
