1st anniversary
Hi everyone this is my first post on the nest. I got married June 2 2008 and my anniversary is coming up. Do y'all have any suggestions for a 1st anniversary present. I know the first anniversary is paper and I was thinking of getting him a framed picture of the Saints or of New Orleans. We no longer live there (12 hours away driving) so I have been searching the internet but have not found anything I like. Can anyone give me some suggestions. I will be back home in the N.O. in a couple of weeks so I will try and search then. Please help

This isn't an answer to your question really but I wanted to give you an idea that worked for me.....We gave eachother other gifts but wanted to keep up with the traditional items as well....so I gave him a journal for our first anniversary with the instructions written inside....each anniversary he has to write in it about what we did to celebrate and special things about that year of marriage. I didn't think he'd take to it very well but seeing what he wrote the first year was so incredibly sweet AND he is already talking about what he can write for our upcoming 2nd anniversary! Too cute.
