1. I just finished a bag-to-skirt refashion and a little t-shirt for my counsins 1year old.
2. I have a few things coming up. I'm in the process of an I-Spy quilt and a bow/clip holder. My cousin just asked me if I'd make a couple superhero capes for her boys, but I don't plan to start them this week

1. Finished- Nothing, surprise surprise..
2. WIPS/Up next- Working on quilting the t-shirt quilt. It is almost done! Just quilt and bind.
3. CR rants/raves/comments I am ready for this t-shirt quilt to be done. I am so worried it is going to look back when it is done. Even though I used a 100% cotton, needle punch batting the sucker is thick and heavy. It is hard to work with on the machine. I considered hand quilting parts of it, but it is a full size quilt and "due" next week... I do not have time to learn to hand quilt AND finish by next Thursday.
4. NCR rants/raves comments We were planning on going to the State Fair this coming weekend, but it is a 4 hour drive and now it is supposed to be hot and rainy. We go every year so I am bummed we probably will not make it.

I feel like I made a good dent in it this weekend and hopefully will make even a bigger dent in it this week and next.
Need to finish her thank you cards (just adding the eiffel tower on the front)
Working on making her a fabric covered travel wipe case (this is not a must do, but would like to try)
3. CR rants/raves/comments-I think the Summer in Paris cricut cartridge is cute but it is so hard to cut so I just used the bottom layer on the thank you card. I don't know if I need a new blade or not so sticky mat but I could not for the life of me get all those little pieces of paper out, so I said forget it. I will try it again another time.
4. NCR rants/raves comments-We have to buy a washer and dryer because our washer is leaking and it is time to replace it anyway. We have the money but it sucks that it seems everything is breaking lately. We had to get a new a/c unit last month and now a washer and dryer.
1. Finished- 2 purses and a dress for my niece (with a tiny matching purse)

3. CR rants/raves/comments- A dress is a lot harder to make than I expected! Next time I'll just do something more simple for her- maybe an elastic skirt.

1. Finished Almost finished with a new cardigan--just need to block it and add buttons.
2. WIPS/Up next I'm currently working on a pair of cabley socks and after that I have the yarn for a short-sleeve cardigan and a gorgeous shawl.
3. CR rants/raves/comments The new Twist Collective comes out today, hurray! Now I get to decide how to spend my birthday gift certificates!
4. NCR rants/raves comments I had my last day with my terrible boss on Friday!! New job starts on Wednesday--SO excited!!

1. Finished- I finished making 16 pairs of baby leg warmers and 4 tutus. I sold 3 and I have 1 for stock.
2. WIPS/Up next- I have more baby leg warmers to finish, a ton of bibs that need turning an top stitching, crinkle taggies and 3 more tutus to do.
3. CR rants/raves/comments- I was borrowing my sister's crappy sewing machine and it started jamming on me. The bobbin was spinning too fast and throwing tons of thread up and it was just a mess. I had to throw away like 4 bibs because the machine ate them. I brought it to my mom and she had no clue what to do and she lent me her machine which is MUCH nice. Now I want one of my own plus and embroidery machine.
4. NCR rants/raves comments- I was supposed to do a photo session with a family on Saturday, the never showed up. We called them and left a message but never got a response. I was kinda pissed because we passed up an event because we already had this appointment.
1. Finished - 3 more scarves for Christmas presents
2. WIP - Felt wreath for the front door for fall. It's turning out well so far, but it's just going to take a lot of time. I'm cutting out felt circles and then pinning to a wreath form, and cutting is taking FOREVER.
3. I don't have a craft room so I need to organize my stuff and put it all in the office. I'm just not looking forward to it because it's going to take so much time. I really wish I had a craft room.
4. We have so much basil and jalepenos. I'm super excited to make pesto and salsa!
2. WIPS/Up next -- I'm thinking about working on Christmas gifts for my two nephews, but I have to clean my house first.
3. CR rants/raves/comments -- My parents bought me the simplicity bias tape maker for Christmas and I finally tried it out. It was nice to make bias tape so quickly. I discovered, though, that if you don't pay attention, your fabric moves as it's going into the guide and twists up.
4. NCR rants/raves comments -- I just got back from having the 3 hour glucose tolerance testing done. I cried last week when the nurse told me I failed the screen. It made me feel like a bad mom... and my baby isn't even here yet! I'm hoping my doctor will call and get my results this afternoon so I don't have to suffer through waiting a few days.

4. I knitted a purse last year for my MIL and Saturday she tells me her cat peed on it. I wanted to blow a gasket so bad!
1. Finished - an argyle quilt top. It's technically a WIP since I still need to quilt it, but I feel like I have to "finish" something at some point. I'd post a picture, but the only ones I have available have my LO on it and I don't post pics of him on the nest.
2. WIPs - argyle quilt. Green quilt. So many projects!
3. CR - My sewing machine did something weird yesterday and I figured out how to fix it myself. Woo-hoo!
4. NCR - It's going to be 100 degrees again today. Gah.
1. blue lace shawl, the rosebud lace stole pattern from summer 2011 interweave knits. I still need to block it, though. Here's a picture of the first half
2. CO another lace shawl, my friend is in a wollmeise KAL for it, but I'm just using a silk/alpaca blend from the LYS. Also have to finish the never-ending pinwheel baby blanket and I have jaywalker socks going but I'll set those aside for beach knitting for the weekend after next. I'll hopefully sew some this week, too, I bought some linen blend fabric at Joann's last week.
3. I bought a skein of 1500yds of laceweight at the LYS last Friday, and they wound it for me! I was so excited, no one's ever offered that before, and just thinking about winding all that by hand was about to make me cry. LYS to the rescue!
4. I'm going to make gazpacho today! DH is excited.

My new bathroom is finished (except for the door)! When the door came and the contractor started opening the box, I noticed metal! I CLEARLY stated, "No metal". I wanted a completely frameless door. Well, the door is frameless but the opening isn't (has metal continuous hinge...I wanted 2 pivot hinges).
This is what I get for not putting my foot down about continuing work while we were away.

My Randomness Blog!!
1. Reversible overalls based on the jon-jon tutorial that I found via JIL's pintrest.
2. Refinishing some dining room chairs for a friend.
3. It is so humid outside it is taking forever for each coat on the chairs to dry! I want to get these babies FINISHED!
4. A confession: I ate a dozen or so Chips Ahoy cookies before leaving work, so wasn't very hungry and had to fake an appetite for the dinner DH made.

2. Finishing the Metro Map quilt top, and cutting the diagonal pieces for the houndstooth baby quilt.
3. I was feeling really crappily yesterday so I couldn't concentrate enough to work on my metro quilt. The lines have to match up perfectly or it will suck, and I couldn't do it because of a pounding headache. So, instead I cut the fabric for the houndstooth baby quilt and sewed basic straight lines.
4. My dog hates the sewing machine noises. Poor baby.
Stand up for something you believe in.
1) Nothin' at all in the last week.
2) Sooo many things I want to work on! I feel like making some jewelry this week.
3) Summer's almost over and I still have so many summer projects I want to make. And I feel like such a grinch for saying this, but I'm not looking forward to holiday crafts. Here's hoping that changes soon. But right now, bleh.
4) Wish I had time to watch tv. And I hate washing dishes. Otherwise, nothing NCR comes to mind, which is pretty good.
