Those with cleaning ladies...
Do you have them come weekly/monthly?
Do you pay per hour or per time?
Is there a standard going rate for cleaning ladies?
Which day have you found is best for them to come...before the weekend? after the weekend? Any prefernce?
We are looking into hiring someone who cleans for a coworker- may on;y be able to fit us in monthly initially until a spot opens for every two weeks...

Which day have you found is best for them to come...before the weekend? after the weekend? Any prefernce? Ours come on Thursday. I work full time so I like it to be done just before the weekend, which is when we usually have company. We discussed having it done on Mondays since we royally wreck the place every weekend, but in the end, the cleaning helps me out when it's done before the weekend. Personal preference for sure.

Which day have you found is best for them to come...before the weekend? after the weekend? Any prefernce? I like her to come on Friday, so the house is clean for the weekend, when I typically get to be home to enjoy our house! It is also nice for when we entertain, its ready and spotless.

I had mine coming on the weekend when we were home, but then I got over my fear of them in my house when I wasn't there. We started on Fridays cause I wanted it clean for me...however, I've found it to be impossible to "pick up" enough before they come. They come Mondays now so we have the weekend to clean it up, and then it stays picked up throughout the week. It totally is preference, but for us, that's what works better!

1. Our cleaning lady comes every third week. Previously, we had our house cleaned every other week, which I think is ideal. however, I had to fire the last cleaning company and the lady I found (not a company) could only commit to every 3rd week.
2. Set amount per visit.
3. I have no idea. The price I pay includes all cleaning supplies (that is, she brings her own). She uses my vacuum at my request (b/c I have a dyson and I think it works better than anything else).
4. I prefer Thursday or Friday. Same reasons as pp.
