Windshield / glass company

Does anyone know of a glass company around town that will waive the $100 comp deductible for State Farm customers? I have a cracked windshield that I need to get replaced. Someone told me there are companies that will do that, but they couldn't remember which ones.  Thanks!

  • I am not sure for State Farm, but my insurance agent actually told me which ones I could go to that would. Do you have an agent that you deal with? Maybe they would be helpful?

  • My H got a free windshield from Safelite.  I don't remember if they waive deductibles, but he had really bad service or something and they ended up giving him a new windsheild for free, and they did it in the parking lot at his job while he worked.

Having bad service sucked, but they took care of it and we were satisfied in the end.

The agent told me I have to call some place called LINX (sp?) to make arrangements for the replacement, and that LINX would provide me with a list of glass companies. I wanted to know ahead of time which company I wanted to use before calling them. Do you happen to remember any of the companies that you were told about?  I'm sure if they do it for one insurance, they'll do it for more.

  • Most glass companies will waive the up to $100 of the deductible I believe.  We use a place that is local to us, but probably not convenient to you.

    I unfortunately don't remember. Sorry.

  • Safelite is a good company. And State Farm does not allow companies to waive the deductible on windshields anymore.
