What outdoor activities do you enjoy? Indoor activities? Outdoor: snowboarding, swimming, volleyball; Indoor: Cooking and baking
Why do you like living where you live? I like that everything is pretty local (downtown is 20 minutes away, DC is 45, NY is 3 hours) What do you dislike about it? Humidity and living so far from the beach (I know 3 hours is nothing to some of you midwest ladies!)
What three countries would you like to visit? Italy, Greece, and Spain.
What was the best road trip you have ever been on? When Justin and I moved me from California to Maryland, we only have 5 days to drive across the entire U.S. We had such a good time even though we were pressed for time, and have a lot of good stories to tell. I think we were just so happy we would finally be together!
2012 Reading Challenge
What outdoor activities do you enjoy? Walking, skiing, reading (hey, it's fun in nice weather). Indoor activities? Cooking, reading, TV of course, nesting :-), I actually enjoy the elliptical and lifting weights, I also like Body Pump classes for exercise.
Why do you like living where you live? We love our neighborhood - very family-oriented, safe, and clean. We are also really close to a lot of things - supermarkets, commuter rail, malls, center of town, etc. We're close to Boston, but for sure in the suburbs which is great. What do you dislike about it? Cost of living is high, taxes are high...and I kind of hate how hot/humid it is in the summer. I don't really mind the snow all that much, though it can be a drag.
What three countries would you like to visit? I would like to go back to France some day. I'd like to visit England, and I think it would be cool to go to Israel some day.
What was the best road trip you have ever been on? I have not done a lot of road trips. The first vacation K and I took together we drove to Baltimore for a concert, then from there to the Jersey Shore for two days, which was great. Then up to NYC, then home. It was a lot of fun, but I got sick of being in the car!
What outdoor activities do you enjoy? Running, camping, fishing (even though I never get to do it), hiking, biking... I love outdoor activities in general Indoor activities? Reading, cooking, baking
Why do you like living where you live? We have a small town feel, but there is always something to do and see What do you dislike about it? Well, my state is like #1 in the crapper in the country (or, maybe #2 behind CA) so there isn't much opportunity in the public sector right now
What three countries would you like to visit? So hard to narrow it down, but the top 3 are probably Greece, Canada, and Italy
What was the best road trip you have ever been on? I haven't been on many road trips since I much prefer to fly, but I did drive out to New Mexico in high school with my grandparents to visit an Uncle and Aunt. It was a lot of fun, but mostly the part once we were at our destination.
Blog
What outdoor activities do you enjoy? Indoor activities? Outdoor: running, soccer, kickball, biking Indoor: Baking, making cards, blogging
Why do you like living where you live? We are close to everything. I can get to any highway in 5 minutes, walk to the best mall in the city (walk anywhere for that matter) and live 10 miles from downtown. What do you dislike about it? I live in the same town I grew up in when I really wanted to move out, but I love our house. Also every few years we get cicadas and I HATE them! Gross!
What three countries would you like to visit? Ireland, France, Australia
What was the best road trip you have ever been on? When I was a senior in high school we took a trip to Panama City for spring break. We had 6 people in the van with us and had such a great time.
What outdoor activities do you enjoy? gardening, hiking, camping, backpacking, watching baseball games, swimming, boating, running
Indoor activities? sewing and quilting, baking and cooking, reading
Why do you like living where you live? Family. It's a small town and big city rolled into one. Our neighborhood is great. I can walk to the train and get into the city easily, can walk to the library, the grocery store, the Wawa, the elementary, jr high and high schools. Close enough to childhood friends who also have kids P's age for playdates.
What do you dislike about it? Family's not that close to provide regular babysitting ha ha. My folks aren't close. Can be hectic. As for our specific neighborhood, there isn't a really quick and easy way to drive over to Jersey to see B's family or to South Philly where the stadiums are.
What three countries would you like to visit? Ireland, England, Japan
What was the best road trip you have ever been on? I went with an exBF and his brother and sister (who is still one of my BFFs) to their family reunion in Montana. New Jersey to Montana in maybe 3 days (took turns driving, only stayed overnight every other night).
2012 Reading Challenge
What outdoor activities do you enjoy? Indoor activities? swimming, gardening, jogging/walking, playing with M on playgrounds (it seriously brings out the kid in me!), horseback riding (haven't done it in ages). Indoors I enjoy reading (indoors or outdoors), cuddling in bed on weekend mornings with my family, cooking, baking, scrapbooking, surfing the net. I like taking pictures both indoors and out.
Why do you like living where you live? Four distinct seasons and family nearby What do you dislike about it? Snow. I also don't like having a shorter summer and longer winter...I'd prefer the other way around.
What three countries would you like to visit? New Zealand, Australia, Austria (to tour the Lipizzaner stables)
What was the best road trip you have ever been on? DH and I went to Niagra Falls the March before we got married for my birthday and as a pre-wedding escape. It was a great trip just the two of us.
What outdoor activities do you enjoy? Swimming, gardening, and camping Indoor activities?Baking, cooking and crafting
Why do you like living where you live? It's close to a lot of exciting things to do and it's less close-minded that other places I've lived. What do you dislike about it?Traffic
What three countries would you like to visit? Spain, Italy and Germany
What was the best road trip you have ever been on? The road trip that took Steve and me around Ireland.

Outdoor - going to the beach, taking a walk, bike riding, lounging on our patio
Indoor - baking, TV (not going to lie, I love TV!), reading
Why do you like living where you live? What do you dislike about it?
Like - that we have seasons, that we can get to the mountains or to the beach in less than 2 hours, proximity to Boston, accessible to major highways
Dislike - not much - I hate that winter gets long and sometimes we don't really have a spring
What three countries would you like to visit?
Italy (again), Greece, Australia
What was the best road trip you have ever been on?
a few years ago my parents had planned a family trip to England, but we canceled last minute due to some pretty serious terrorist threats at the time and since we had all taken time off already, we ended up driving to Stowe VT and staying at a spa resort which was awesome and then we drove to Montreal which I loved

) Going to the beach, hiking, (long) walks, Indoor-organizing, baking/cooking and reading
Why do you like living where you live? I like that I am close to a major airport and can fly anywhere pretty affordable, and rarely have to have a connecting flight. We have a big city, but also the small town feel outside of city limits. Tons of restaurant choices! What do you dislike about it? the traffic and pollution.
What three countries would you like to visit? Croatia (again) England and Japan
What was the best road trip you have ever been on? A couple years ago, we drove down to see a shuttle launch, it was scrubbed 3 days in a row, we stayed the 4th thinking surly the weather would hold, they scrubbed it right before the 9min hold. M and I drove 8 hours home, all night b/c we both had to work the next day. I remember the conversations we had keeping each other away, stopping for fries at McD at 3am, singing to songs on XM. We got home both took showers and went right to work!
What outdoor activities do you enjoy? Beach, hiking, swimming, kayaking, lounging, etc Indoor activities? TV, reading, puzzles,
Why do you like living where you live? Family and friends are close by, seasons, the lake by our house, good school system, convenient to the highway What do you dislike about it? Winter tends to be long, HCOL, high taxes
What three countries would you like to visit? Italy, Greece, New Zealand
What was the best road trip you have ever been on? Eh, none of them have been particularly great. I'd love to drive down the CA coast with DH stopping at various cities along the way.
What outdoor activities do you enjoy? Grilling (well, watching DH grill!), sitting by the pool? lol -- I used to be an outdoorsy girl, but not as much anymore. I need to change that! Indoor activities? Reading, baking, cooking
Why do you like living where you live? Everything is closeby. I grew up in a smaller town where you had to drive 15-20 minutes to do anything. I love that I am 2-3 minutes from Starbucks! Also, there is a LOT of history in my town, so as a history buff I love it!
What do you dislike about it? Umm... I guess the traffic is bad on the weekends? It's also a 45-60 minute drive each way to work. But I love it still.
What three countries would you like to visit? Colombia (DH's family), Czech Republic (Prague), Vietnam
What was the best road trip you have ever been on? At last minute, DH's cousin had to drive from MD to FL (16+ hours) to return his sister's car that was finally done in the repair shop (long story). He was going to drive straight through by himself. On a whim DH and I (before we were married) decided to go with him, so there we are, all crammed into a Chevy Cavalier, driving down to Florida in a day. My iPod and an epic stop at Bojangles in NC made the trip so worth it. We did all 4 Disney parks in one day with a park hopper, then came home the next day. I would be complaining so bad if DH even suggested doing that again.
