Rough day......tell me some funny kid stories?
I could use them!
Yesterday I was at my parents celebrating BIL's bday and my nephew is 4 and I told him to say supercalifragilisticexpealadocious and he said douche bag. Yup. It was hilarious and my BIL looked mortified.
Re: Rough day......tell me some funny kid stories?
A couple weeks ago, H told L to pick up his toys before bed. L sighed heavily and started dumping stuff into the bins, while muttering under his breath "I get so tired of picking up all this sh!t."
The next day H was changing AJ's diaper. L walked by waving his hand in front of his nose and said "dang, dude! You've got some swamp a$$ going on!"
Apparently my H (who's responsible for teaching L the first comment) and my sister (who's responsible for the second) need to clean up their language a bit. (although I find it beyond hilarious and nearly wet my pants every time L says naughty words).
Have I ever told you about my kid's soap obsession?
How about his walnut (plus random trinkets) one?
Finally, the other night we were eating at a local restaurant and out of the blue, Jack starts talking about his "freakin' tattoos" he wanted. "I want my freakin' tattoos. Where are my freakin' quarters?" On & on, "freakin', freakin'." Only it did NOT sound like "freakin'." Did I mention there was a table of police officers sitting right next to our booth? Fun times.
N's favorite song on the radio is Katie Perry 'Last Friday Night"...you would think because she says "Pink Flamingo's in the Pool", but no. He thinks its funny that she says "I smell like a mini bar" and now he walks around saying that and laughing....I don't think he knows what a mini bar is.....
I went shopping at Target the other day. Owen grabs a shirt from the cart, and says "mommy, dis look good!" - so I took it, and leaned it on myself and said "ooh, you think this looks good?" -- he shook his head no "Momma, you no look good. Your belly too big, like a tree"
Addison has started calling R a dirt bag, which she claims came from Toy Story 1. I said, "We don't call our brother a dirt bag. That isn't very nice". She says, "Well he has very ugly knees". Hmmm. Ok.
We have been talking about heaven, because my grandma passed away last week, and it has been very interesting. Now, when we get out of the car she always asks, "Is this heaven?"
She came into the bathroom the other day and told me she needed to go also. So, I told her since I was using the bathroom, she needed to either use her little potty or go to the other bathroom. She asked if she could just sit on my lap and go.
She also likes to use them potty when we are going, and then ask us if we want to hold hands.
Jennie--cops would find that hilarious. Trust me.
We have just started Lyra on foods and cereal was going well. Till last week while on vacation my friends son tried to feed her a pizza roll. We are sure how much she ate but she ate some. Now when I feed her cereal she makes a funny face. To top it off on Sunday we started carrots. When I pull them out of the fridge and ask her if she wants carrots she puckers her lips and shivers like bleh.
Lyra has also started sticking her tongue out when she blows a raspberry so it sounds like she is basically saying whatever when she does it.
At Target when they had their clearance sale I picked up some fake wood pieces with tools to cut it (like pool noodles). Anyway, Owen was so excited about the new stuff that he was in the cart yelling "Oh yeah, I've got wood!" in the neener, neener, neener type of voice. Great.
He always tells me that J needs "boob juice" or "booby milk" when she gets cranky. And along those lines, he has a small Anne Geddes doll that is basically a baby dressed in a rabbit suit. For some reason, he gave it the name Q-Key. Not Coo-kee, "Q" Key. And he will correct you if you don't pronounce it right. Anyway, um yeah, he pretends to nurse the baby every night when i am nursing J to sleep. He's a really good dad, i swear
but i guess a little confused on the roles
