I just want to verify...do I need to call your husband's practice and let them know that I am putting them as the pediatrician? Also, when they do rounds will they check the baby in my room or does she have to be in the nursery for that? Sorry just getting last minute things finalized and last time I knew the baby wouldn't be in my room so it wasn't a question!
Thanks!

Re: All-His
You don't need to call ahead to let them know, you just tell the front desk when you check in at the hospital (or your nurse) that you'd like DSM peds and adol to be your pediatrician (or you can just say adam's name, they'll know either way).
I don't know exactly how they do their rounds, I think they usually do the exam in the nursery, but they might be willing/able to do it right in your room? They'll definitely come into your room and chat with you and ask if you have any questions, etc. They might have to temporarily take the baby (and you'll be welcome to come along) if they need any materials from the nursery.
Best of luck, you are getting so close!
They came to the room for us. I was so tired, I don't remember who came, but I know that they came to check in with how we were doing, and I think they may have gone to the nursery from there (baby was in nursery at time).
We did interviews with peds, so we meet with Dr. Talcott before and let him know that we wanted them as our peds, but, like All His said, it wasn't needed.
