A kid question (since I dunno)
How old would a kid be before using something like this?
I'm trying to figure out if this is a Santa present for this year (12 months old) or next (24 months old)
Chair
Re: A kid question (since I dunno)
We got Lil 2 mini-adirondak chairs for her birthday. She likes to stand on them instead of sit on them. She also got a kids size cloth fold n bag chair that she LOVES to sit in. She will sit in it without moving for at least 30 minutes straight (pretty impressive in new walking world). Maybe it just depends on the type of chair.
I guess I would say ... go for it ... but be forwarned that it may not quite be a chair for a while, it may start as a jungle gym. I think it will actually fall into "chair" territory soon and definitely be used before 24 months.
I think it is really cute.
I don't think they know what to do with a chair at 1. My friend has a 2yr old and they got him a chair for the living room and he understands to sit in it. Although, like Kiwi said, it's usually more of a jungle gym even at 23 months.
But, I also think their 1st birthday gifts are a lot for the parents sake as well. So if you like it and want it for him, I say go for it.

For example, we have an activity table. When my cousin with over with her DD, who is about the same at age as DS, she played with it and touched the buttons and danced to the songs. Meanwhile, DS tries to flip the table over to play with it upside down or he picks up toys to bang on the table.
So personality probably has something to do with it. lol
