You all complain about how boring it is here...
... and now you're upset that we have some drama? I'm not sure our board has ever seen a three page thread. Or one with 850+ views.
But, since we apparently have some activity around here, what's new?
Re: You all complain about how boring it is here...
I got nothing.
Just wanted to know how your house is? You guys all settled in and loving it?
That definitely was one way to get the board more active!
Like I said in that post, Steph, I think I might have been taking a lot of offense to the questioning of if faith is ready for a baby because I had someone question me on that. They did retract that statement, but it was very hurtful and I'm still really no over it since no actual apology was given. So no hard feelings?
I'm working on getting our spare room at home turned into an office. It's been a lot of work. I finally found a desk that I like (at a garage sale for $10 no less!). So, I'm going to be spending time re-doing that.
We're also in our 2 week wait and I've been having a lot of symptoms this week. I'm not testing until Friday at the absolute earliest. I'm trying my best to not get my hopes up, but it's hard.
What's new with you? How is the house coming along?
Scarlett - another 2ww lady here (well, Day 17... BFN's and no period). Hope this 2ww goes well for you. Sorry you had to go through someone making such a rude comment to you. I am pretty sensitive about the topic too.
Catarntina... I hope you're feeling well.
Steph, it would take a book to update you on the craziness of my life lately.
Um, lots of family drama. But enjoying married life.
Please share the family drama. It will likely make me feel better about my crazy family.
The house is good! Thanks for asking
We're still waiting for our patio door (the one that was guaranteed to be installed by the end of June...) But we've got our new carpet, windows and appliances! Other than that, we've been doing stuff bit-by-bit. H is planning on making me a pedestal for the new washer/dryers this weekend. I'm super excited. He's going off of these plans:

Sure beats paying the $450 for the metal ones that go with the washer/dryer set! I'm super excited to see them too.
Other than that, not much. We're considering adopting another dog. We just need to see if he gets along well with Puckett.

Thanks Zara
I'm feeling pretty good. Hope you'll be joining me soon! Fingers crossed for you!
Steph, I never understood why people paid $450 for the metal stands that go with the washer and dryers. I see why people want the stands, but $450 is just sooo much money. Glad your H is making some.
Honestly, I never understood the stands either... until I did a load of laundry. Those things are so low to the ground. But yeah. I'm not paying $400+ for them either. H thinks the wood pedestal will cost about $75 for supplies. He also needs to buy some saw which will be $150. oh darn
more tools for his garage. haha That's fine. We were planning on adding some shelving to the garage and basement bar anyway, so we need the wood working stuff eventually anyway.
It's just fun having a place to do projects anyway

If you'd really like to hear about family drama, I can share some tidbits about my mother-in-law. Like how she recently tried to un-friend me on Facebook or how she contacted me yesterday to let me know she was being kicked out of her place yet again and needed to be moved immediately, so could I please call my husband and tell him to leave work? I'm sure we all have in-law issues, but my MIL is a total trainwreck and a very unstable woman. (Btw, my husband is completely aware of my feelings about her and shares the same sentiment - but she is his mother so we have to put up with her) If it makes you feel better to hear about her escapades, it would probably be good for me to vent.
Go for it!
All I've got is an alcoholic FIL. To the point that he totaled his car the morning of our wedding. Pretty sure he was still wasted at the ceremony, too.

My dad spent the entire night before my wedding getting trashed with his fiancee, now wife (after dating for 16 years). He started bawling at the bar about how my grandmother would have been so proud and loved my husband, etc etc - which was embarrassing but made me cry too (she died of ovarian cancer when I was 15 but was pretty much my best friend) - and that would have been a sweet moment if he wasn't, you know, drunk. He woke up 5 minutes after the ceremony was supposed to start and didn't shower.
And that's just part of how awesome my family acted at the wedding. :-/

Hey doll! I'm great. I've been trying to stop asshattery on WP. Hey friend request on fb if you want. I just re-opened my page there.
Whoa, I left for a bit and the board goes crazy!! There were some unfamiliar folks on that crazy thread - Who on earth are Maratea and Meggieloves...? And it's nice to see a few of the old faces around, even if it was due to some silly drama. Which, by the way, we can let go now, right? Are we over it yet?
Anyway. I haven't talked much about it, but I have a newish job (4.5 months) and I really like it so far. It's our busy season, and it's not nearly as busy as my old job. DH says I'm much better to be around than when I was at my old job. Also, it was 110 here today. We're at over 30 days in a row with 100+ temps. I am not a fan. DH started back to school yesterday. That's about all that's new with us.
Good luck to you ladies in your 2WW!
Steph - I love hearing about the house! We've been in ours 2 years (this month, eek!) and I still love doing things to it. I hope you enjoy that feeling for years and years
Mara is an SB reg. She's basically my other half. Meggie is just nuts. But SHE WILL WIN AGAINST ME in a WAR OF WORDS.
So far we love the house
What's your new job all about?

Will send. Look for the blonde hair.
I thought I was your other half. (pouts and kicks dirt).
I'm guessing there are a few other SB that came over, because as I read the rest of Drama Thread I saw some more names I didn't recognize.
Anyway, I'm a tax accountant, and I was doing taxes for a small public firm. In March, I left and went to work for a large corporation in their tax department. The department is about 20 people, and there are 5 on my team. Everybody is pretty nice, but they aren't very friendly so I don't really feel very connected to any of them. I know, I know, work isn't about making friends, but it makes the day go by faster when you have friends at work. Really though, that's my only complaint - otherwise, I really like my job and I'm so so so glad I changed... even if I did leave some great people behind at my old job!
I think Mara is the only one that's not a Nov bride? I don't remember who all posted, but AATB, Blue, and SarahP were/are all November brides.
Well congrats on the new job! I understand what you're saying about making friends at work. No, of course you don't NEED friends at work, but it sure makes it a lot more enjoyable. At least you don't have any enemies there though?

Well, I'm glad she taught you a lesson. As long as you don't pee in the floor over here, I guess you can stay.
I'm housebroken now, so no worries.
