Should hear back this week...job dust?? Advice?

I had 2 interviews last week, the first one seems like it would be a good fit, i did well at the interview, and ive done similar work. The first one was Monday, second Tuesday..the 2nd one pays quite a bit more, is close to where i live, has double the vacation time and better benefits. Job 1 has called my references (friday)..So part of me is expecting an offer. If this does happen, should I accept or notify job 2 of the situation? I reallly want job 2. Any advice? Sorry for no paragraphs, my iphone doesnt like to format. Thanks to anyone who has advice/has been in my situation!

  • If you hear from job 1 first I would ask if you can have time to think about it and talk it over with your family, and then let job 2 you have an offer, but would prefer the job with them - see if they can speed up their decision a little bit.

    Please pass the ice cream.
  • Thanks! I wonder how often human resource departments have to deal with this situation, i hope i wouldnt be putting her in a weird place/rushing her.

The bold part and don't mention anything about speeding up a decision.
