We are going in a month and have no idea what to even do. With a kid nonetheless. Ideas?

I went as a teen. All I remember is amazing beaches and the big path through the middle of the island that is the old railway path.
How are you getting around? Do they rent cars these days or can tourists only rent scooters still?
Post on the travel board - I got a lot of help there for my Switzerland trip! GL!
