I am going to take the nanny job! Now they are wanting more of a full-time person, so I will be making more than 3x what I was making before. woohoo!!
H might be getting a small bonus at the end of the month because the company made big money and they tend to share the wealth with the employees.
the ILs got a bonus thing, so they always share with the kids, so we should be getting a bit of that too
Hs 25th bday is this weekend! I have already ordered his bday presents and hope they arrive soon (and also ordered the 2nd and 3rd Game of Thrones books!!!! for me of course)
And last but not least, I'm just happy right now. That is the best news I've got!

Hmmm, my good news is that I found out a couple days ago I passed my last class (a political science class I took just to get those final 3 credits) witha B+. It was honestly a shock because the class was killing me and had such a weird dynamic (multiple teachers, long story) so I would've been happy to pass with a C...but I ended up with a much better final grade than expected!
On that note I'll be getting a graduation gift, as you all know already, that I hadn't expected either. Now to decide on what that shall be.
Wow, great news for all of you! I'm so happy for you all.
My good news is that my parents will be here on Saturday and I am so excited to see them.
Also, my mil gets ansty just sitting around so she has willingly and lovingly scrubbed down my whole house. It's SPOTLESS!

I have a firm job offer, a second interview, and a first interview this week.
Yay for me being employable!
I might have a car by the end of the week, which means that I won't be housebound unless I feel like hailing a cab. Used cars are sketchy here (no warranties and apparently tinkering with the KM and stripping out parts is quite common) and there is a really long waiting list for the car I want* new. The wife of a friend of H's from work is leaving the country and needs to sell her 18 month old model of the car I want that still has two years of factory warranty on it. I'm off to look at it tomorrow.
*That kind of makes it sound like it's a really nice car. It's just the one of the two Malaysian made car makes that releases its safety ratings and isn't known to break down every 1,000 km. Cars that aren't Malaysian made here are super super expensive.
It's sunny and gorgeous here today.
We spent the morning at the park where Milo played with the nicest little boy who just moved into our apartment complex. His mum and I totally clicked and I am so excited for super easy playdates and maybe even a new friend and potential babysitter??
And Milo has been really fun and funny lately. This is how he walked around all afternoon yesterday because, in his opinion, Robin Hood doesn't wear trousers.
I don't know, things just feel like they are on an upswing, it's nice.

I have a busy social week. Last night I went out with a friend from the neighborhood for drinks and tonight I'm hanging out with a divorcee from golf and a bunch of her friends, including men!
I hope that STBXH signs the settlement agreement this week ((fingers crossed))
E got a clean bill of health yesterday at her 1st doctors appointment, my mum just cleaned my kitchen and weeded part of our garden and I just had a great Mums group meeting.
Oh and I'm going to try out a new group next week...I'm happy at the moment, like on a happy high
Wow, good news all around today!
I got my drivers license yesterday, which I'm super excited and relieved about.

My mil comes to visit on Saturday morning! Also, it is a gorgeous day today.
Such positivity coming out of today's thread! And I can contribute!
I planned and successfully threw a surprise b-day party for H on Saturday. It was a huge accomplishment since I am terrible at keeping secrets and DH reads me so well.
Also, I got a bit of a promotion at work. They're moving me to the main campus library and increasing my pay to a somewhat decent wage!
