I had another appt. this morning for a regular check-up. The past few days, I'd had a big decrease in movement, like a normally kick happy baby wasn't being felt for 2-3 hours, so I let them know. The NST came back fine, but they were worried about how the placenta is holding up and my fluid levels. I had a dilation check and I progressed to 2 cm and am 90% effaced from zero and 50%. At first they wanted to send me to be induced immediately, but then Dr Barnes said why don't we do a sono first to check my levels.
The sono came back okay, but they were clearly not happy with the decrease in movement. They basically said I need to be induced by Friday, but they'd prefer I come back in the morning. Seriously, hardest decision I've had to make, how do I know the future?! Will she come on her own in the next 2 days, and do I risk it? I decided better to be safe than sorry, so we're going for an induction tomorrow morning at 7am. I'm not thrilled because I really wanted to go into labor naturally, but they think I should take to induction well since I started dilating and they said I can and should still try to go natural... so that's the plan!
DH will be sending out text updates, and I've got CD on his list so she'll update here for me. I'm going to post on FB in the morning that we're headed to the hospital, but not going to be too specific. Please send your nestie T&P, labor dust, and all that wonderful stuff
Oh, and N FL OBGYN girls, Dr. McIntyre is on call for tomorrow, so looks like I'll have her for delivery! Funny because I've only had 1 appt. with her, but I've heard good things, so I'm happy!
ETA: Just got settled in my room. Started having contractions at 11pm, and around 2:30am at 4 minutes apart, we decided it was time to head to the hospital. No induction for me!!! I'm so happy! But yeah, now comes the hard part... thanks for the well wishes so far
