Hey ladies,
I currently work in Philadelphia but I am considering a part-time job in Pottstown. The job seems great the only drawback (to me) was the area didn't seem very safe. It's in an office off of High Street. I wouldn't be working late hours so I don't think this would be too much of an issue but I wanted to double check. Any input greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Re: pottstown
Pottstown can be very block-to-block, but High Street is a main thoroughfare, so it's busy. What hundred block of High Street is it on? I can give you more info then.
We have a friend that owns a business on East High Street across from the Hill School (it's very residential/professional offices in that area).
You can also look at www.pottsmerc.com for recent reports of crime.
You'll be fine during the day hours. I worked there for 3 years.
It's between Beech and High street that can be a bit shady sometimes. Between Beech, Franklin, Washington and Warren. But if you stick to the daytime you'll be fine. You'll even be fine at night mostly.
Also coming off of 422 at Hanover St is your best bed to avoid lights and traffic.
The office is located on glasgow street (which is off High Street) near the Stowe Lighthouse Christian Academy. The responses were along the lines of what I was thinking, so that makes me feel better.
