So Steese's post about their anniversary gifts got me thinking...
What are everyone's anniversary plans? Can't believe it will be 2 year so soon! I haven't been around too much so sorry if you guys have already discussed this...
Re: anniversary plans?
Stand up for something you believe in.
We are going back to our wedding venue to spend the night like we did last year. We are going to spend the first night by ourselves while my mom babysit's P and then he is going to come join us the 2nd day and spend that night with us.
We are going to go to the spa and have a nice dinner the first day and then once P is with us we are going to do the more touristy things like go to the cider mill, go hiking, etc. That way we get to have some time alone(which we are terrible at!) but also do some family stuff together. Stowe is beautiful in the fall so we are really excied about it.

J & I were just discussing this and we honestly don't know what to do. Our anniversary is exactly 1 month before my EDD so we really can't travel anywhere that is not with-in driving distance to the hospital. Add in the fact that my sister had her DD 6 weeks early, we really don't want to book anything...just in case. At this point, I'm hoping to just get a nice dinner out of it. Instead of getting eachother a gift, we agreed to use the $$ we would have spent and get a good camera/video camera combo so that we have it for when the baby arrives.
Dx: Hashimoto's Hypothyroidism After 2 years TTC & failed IUs,we have our IVF baby born 9/24/11

Chillin' with a newborn.
A quiet night at home with wine, a yummy dinner, and a movie is probably what will happen and I'm A-okay with that.
We are going to Lake Geneva Aug 12-14 for a "babymoon". We're staying at a b&b with a huge whirlpool tub and a fire place. I cannot wait! We both need a little R&R that doesnt involve visiting our families before Olive comes.
We usually like to do something/go somewhere rather than doing gifts. I am still really hoping for a quick getaway to Bermuda, but I'm thinking that is more and more unlikely. Hopefully a trip back up to Vermont towards the end of September for a relaxing weekend, but we'll see!
We've been so busy doing things to the house and getting ready for baby that we haven't even discussed it!
We'll probably have to do something pretty low key since I'll be like 5 weeks from my due date. Maybe I'll suggest we have brunch at our wedding venue and stay overnight at the hotel where we spent our wedding night:) I don't think Josh has a plan in mind as far as I know!

IDK yet. I am supposed to be doing a charity bike ride out in western MA the weekend after, so we talked about getting a hotel there after the ride and then hitting up the Big E (a big fair) on the way home the next day. I am kind of thinking I will be exhausted and sore and won't be much of an anniversary trip.
I found a great deal for North Conway, NH if we went Sunday - Tues (our anniversary is on a Monday). I am kind of leaning towards that.
We probably should try to save money and just do a local dinner that night.
Congrats to both my TTC buddies, Amberley18 and sb2006 on their beautiful babies!
Possibly Boston - that was Mark's idea, but we didnt have much time to talk about it last night. We need to figure it out soon.
if we stay in town we will do dinner out the day before since our Anniv is on a Sunday this year. We have a favorite restaurant here in Cincy that we havent visited for a while and it will be a nice night out without the baby.
