Poor Derek is so sun burned, he can't do much of anything (more like poor me, having to listen to him complain and do all the chores).
Last night was pretty low key, I had to run a bunch of errands and then just sort of vegged.
Tonight we've got baseball starting at 6 then probably going out with the team for a drink. Derek is pretty sure he won't be playing because of the whole, can't really move thing.
How is everyone today?

I'm up super early to try and make some phone calls and appointments and such. Just counting down the hours until Jackson comes home. They're finally letting him out today! (fingers crossed) We're not telling anyone to avoid the crazy amount of visitors before we just get to enjoy him at home by ourselves. I'll call around noon, and hopefully he'll be ready to go.
I went to my follow-up appointments yesterday, and I get to taper off some of my medications they have me on from my hospital stay. Supposedly I should be feeling much better once some of the dosages come down. It'll be nice not to feel so blah with constant headaches.
In other news, I've lost 55 pounds to date from just before I delivered. I wish I didn't have to gain as much as I did, but I'm so glad it's coming off quickly. There's still quite a bit of fluid and swelling in my legs, so that should be another 10 pounds or so...I hope.
Snoopy - Keeping fingers crossed that he gets to come home. I wouldn't tell anyone either. Where he is also premature, you want to keep folks away. Good for you. Also, I was swollen about 3 weeks after (I had the worst Shrek feet after delivery), hopefully you will unswell soon.
Today is another busy work day. Trying to stay focused since we have our summer team outing on Friday. I think I already need another vacation. Ha.

Not much going on today--just work, try to get to the gym tonight, and get to bed at a decent time. Last night was quiet. H wasn't feeling too hot, so we just talked a bit and then went to sleep early.

Today should be another quiet day for me. I'm hoping for another productive day at work and a quiet night at home.
This week I've been doing battle with my dental insurance and I'm really getting frustrated with them. Because they are so slow to reimburse my dentist changed his policy and now requires full payment from me and then I get reimbursed by my insurance. They made this change in June 09 and I am yet to see a single reimbursement since then. I've asked my dentist to resubmit many of the claims (some up to 4 times) because of the inaction by the insurance. Well yesterday the insurance indicated that they will not reimburse me for the oldest claim because it was not submitted in a "timely manner." Luckily my dentist keeps records detailing every time the claim was submitted because it was originally submitted the same day as my appointment. Ugh. Sorry for the rant, but this whole ordeal has been very frustrating. I'm hoping that it will finally get straightened out and I will see some action soon.

Snoopy-so glad to hear Jackson could come home today and that you are feeling better.
Last night was low key for me. DH had softball last night so got home late. I was already asleep by the time he got home.
Tonight, we have breast-feeding class so hopefully I feel a little more prepared when that is done.

I ended up with a nasty headache last night that carried over to this morning. Luckily is seems to have dissipated, but still don't think I'm up to going out with some friends, which was the original plan.

Snoopy - So glad to hear you may be bringing Jackson home today. I wouldn't tell anyone either, it would feel so overwhelming with a ton of people.
abarber - I hope everything gets sorted out quickly and you get reimbursed soon. That is so frustrating.
Today I am starting work later and taking my brother to the ferry to say good-bye. It has been so nice to have him. We have had a pretty good time together. I do wish we lived closer to my family.
Things should be back to usual this evening, I'll probably head to the gym and put in a 2-3 hour workout.

Yesterday one of my favorite co-workers and really good friend got fired, I'm so bummed and totally disagree with her termination. I was pretty upset when I left work so I grabbed some Taco Bell for dinner and watched trash tv all evening.
Today is just a normal work day and then hopefully I'll finally make it to the grocery store tonight.

I'm back at work today after going to Kings Dominion yesterday with the kids. Normally, I'm an excellent theme park goer, but yesterday was so hot and humid and I got beat up pretty good on the Intimidator (which I have ridden before no problem) that I was done for the day around 3:30. Jim and I went home and the rest stayed until the park closed at 10:00. I have a nose like Rudolph and am walking slowly, but I think I'll live.
Today, I am playing catch-up for being out yesterday and I may sneak out early to meet everyone for dinner. I think we are having a few people sleep at our house tonight, as well. That's about it; just trying to hang on until the weekend.
ETA: Snoopy - I'm glad that your little one will be coming home today. I'd keep him all to myself, too.
abarber - I hate the way insurance companies treat people. I hope you get it straightened out soon.

Sorry I've been MIA. We've had a few busy days, and I just needed some days to do nothing. I've been thinking about you guys though.
Snoopy- I am SO glad that Jackson will be coming home today! Also I'm glad that physically you are feeling much better. don't ever scare us like that again!
Today we're running some errands, Setting up for a rummage sale this weekend. We're also finally going to go for a nice long walk. it's been so gross here, that we've been nervous about taking Myles out for very long.
Nothing very exciting, but I'm enjoying doing nothing while I can because very soon I'll be back at work.

Yesterday was a good but exhausting day. We went for a doctor's appointment, then dropped by my office to introduce the little guy to my coworkers, then went out for lunch. It was our third time taking him out for a meal and so far he's been really well behaved. I'm really happy to be out and about. I don't have any big plans today, just puttering around the house I think.
Also, Sherlock has noticed that the vacancy on my lap has opened up again (when baby isn't in tow) so he's been keeping me company for breakfast.

Last night I decieded we were going grocery shopping...we never grocery shop during the week. We didn't go this past weekend and we were out of everything. I couldn't take it anymore so we went to get groceries and eat mexican. Tonight We have back to school night for Jordan.

abarber - I often wonder how people at insurance companies sleep at night.
I spent all day yesterday in a board of directors meeting in a room that was about 90 degrees. We were all dying. I really like the group on the board, but felt a bit distant since I'm seriously searching for other work and wouldn't be in the same field, so I would have to turn over my board position. I went to the office afterwards and it was a nightmare, I really should have just gone home.
I got in early this morning to finish some stuff under deadline that my boss didn't give to me until after 5 last night.
Snoopy, so glad Jackson may get to go home today. Fingers crossed that he will be home today.
Today I'm working and treating myself to subway for lunch. I also need to go to the post office at lunch so I hope I have enough time. Tonight DH's best friend and wife are coming over to visit us and see the new house. They were supposed to come over last night but we were having plumbing issues so they are coming tonight instead. I'm making shrimp cocktails for dinner since its too hot for me to cook. After that I hope we're able to go out for a family walk once it gets cooler. Hope everyone has a great day.
