Glad I got in before the rain....

It's really coming down hard out there.  Of course I left my umbrella in the car.

Re: Glad I got in before the rain....

  • Not sure if you got hit last night with that big storm, but it seriously woke us all up at 1 a.m. I hate thunderstorms in the middle of the night.

  • It was wet out this morning so I assume we got hit but I slept right through it if we did.

I'm hoping for some sort of massive, powerful storm today that causes a power outage at work so we have to go home.  It NEVER happens but I can dream, right!?

  • There was a couple sprinkles on my way into work, but no real rain here in Annapolis.

You're in Abingdon, right?  We are in Bel Air and we woke up to terrible thunder, lightning and downpours in the middle of the night (didn't see the time).  The dogs were freaking out.

Did you know that our bosses cannot send us home in the event of a power outage?  DBM has to make the call, happened here a week or so ago, one of our buildings had no power, people had to be relocated

Yes, I am. It wasn't a great night in our house. We had the whole family, dogs included in our bed.

I always thought it was DGS that had to make the call but either way, I know that the last time the power went out, we sat here for like 2 hours before getting an answer.  By that time, it was the end of my work day.  Annoying.  I can understand a 1/2 hour wait but really...there is no production going on.  Looks like it's clearing up anyway...at least for now.
