Think Fall/Winter....Looking for Markets/Festivals
Hi Ladies,
I have a baking business on the side and I am trying to gear up for the fall. With that, can you recommend any markets or festivals I can vend at? Churches, community groups, large groups, organizations, etc...I'm open.
Thanks!!

The DC metro cooking show is a two day event at the convention center in November.
You can vend at just about any farmers market. There are always tons of bakers. The choc strawberry scones sell out fast at the one I go to
The Herndon Town Green has its Labor Day Festival (formerly called the Jazz and Wine Festival) every Labor Day Monday.
Northern Virginia Brewfest Oct. 22-23 in Centreville, VA
Shirlington Oktoberfest Oct. 8
Yes, they're all alcohol-related, I know ...
If you want to travel a bit, there are tons of side of the road stands near the entrances to Skyline Drive. Lots of people sell at roadside stands. I don't know if permits are required, but most are just tables alongside the roads selling jams, honey, apples, pumpkins and baked goods.
