Moms of boys, come in please

What diapers do/did you use? Maybe I'm doing it wrong or something but Max keeps peeing out of his diapers. I've been using both Pampers and Huggies (newborn size) but I have the same problem with both. I've been trying to point his "business" downward when I put the diaper on but who knows if that's actually accomplishing anything. Do I need a bigger size maybe? I only have nieces so I'm not used to diapering boys.

  • We had that problem until we started using cloth, I don't think you're doing anything wrong.

  • Typically going up a size can help...i would try that. I never had an issue unless it was overnight for 10+hours...so we used a size larger and it solved our issue. Good luck!

  • Going up a size worked for me. Also, make sure the leg guards (or whatever the part that goes around the thigh is called) on the diaper aren't tucked in. Aidan peed out of his diaper way more often when I forgot to pull them out.

  • We are Pamper lovers.  We used the swaddlers when he was that little.  I agree with the girls.  I would go up a size.  Maybe he just has a lot of pee and the little diaper can't hold it all.

  • We had that problem with huggies. We use pampers and haven't leaked once.
