I know this has been discussed before, but I'm looking for some wine suggestions. DH got a gift card for a liquor store near my work, and on Friday I'm stopping by there to use his gift card. *LOVE* This weekend we are going away to a B&B and one of the restaurants is BYOB, so I wanted to get something nice to go with dinner. Although what we'll have, I'm not completely positive. DH usually gets steak or seafood and normally I get seafood.
Re: Wine suggestions
J. Lohr or Joel Gott...both cabs...both amazingly good. And if you don't want to worry about having to keep it cold, I'd go this route.
But if you want a white, Santa Margarita Pinot Grigio is my favorite white. It's very dry and crisp.
To pair a red with seafood, you probably want a light-bodied red, so a Pinot Noir or a Merlot. There are some yummy Pinot Noirs from Oregon, but I don't know anything off the top of my head that I could recommend.
This article is helpful, but the recommendations at the end are a little pricey: http://www.starchefs.com/wine/features/html/red_wine_and_fish/html/index.shtml
