What is the point of uploading my resume if I'm going to have to retype what was on there? I mean, my resume is pretty standard, (name & contact info at the top, list of positions in chronological order, etc.), yet I just spent 10 minutes trying to reorganize my info to apply for a job at a company I already work for. And since I applied through the Internal Applicant portal, you'd think I could skip things like "how long have you been at your current position?"
Is this how they weed out the people who are applying on a lark? Do they figure that at some point, people who aren't seriously interested in the job will just give up?
I was going to apply for a second job on the site, but now my head hurts, and I need chocolate. *pout*
Re: Applying for Jobs - Vent
Yeah, it was mostly a tongue-in-cheek rant, but really. Those systems are the worst - it didn't even pick up my name! I miss the days you could just copy and paste a resume. Or mail one!
Now get the hell off my lawn! *fistshake* heh.
