Photo Album Help?

Hi,

Not sure if this is the right forum for this, but it seemed like it fit best out of all the options.

I'm trying to make an album of our wedding pictures for my parents. I want it to be pretty large page -wise. I was originally using mpix but their 40 page album is technically 40 SLIDES and 20 PAGES.

Does anyone know of another website where I can get a "professional-type" assembled album like mpix offers? I'm not talking about a photobook like blurb, I'm talking about a matte album?

Thanks!

Re: Photo Album Help?

  • Picaboo might have what  you're looking for. They have all types of albums to choose from.
    Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
October 2012 Pumpkin Patch Babies click here for list.
  • Definately check out Picaboo.  I did my IL's album through there and was really impressed.  They are always running deals/sales (unlike MPIX) and the quality was pretty close to our professional album.
  • Not sure if this will be helpful or not, but on the blog thedigidaily.com they have a review of many different printers and what they can do so maybe there will be something there.
  • We used AdoramaPix.  I believe you can choose the number of pages you want, but I might be wrong.  It came out beautifully!

  • So I was looking at some of my friends' wedding albums that they had done themselves and they were alright, but some of my girls had said people had rolled their eyes at their albums! It seems a lot of the do-it yourself ones don't print as well as professional ones at all. I've been talking to my guy about going to a professional, even found one who does AMAZING work, I think he's with me on this! Did anyone consider using a professional? I'm worried if I do my own album it won't look good in 20 or 30 years. I'm a very creative person, but I feel there is a limit to what someone who isn't a professional can really do, especially about print quality. I feel like our album is so important because it is the only way to allow friends and family who couldn't come to experience our special day and I want it to still look amazing in a few decades.
