For D, I make almost all of his snacks once a week.
I dry fruit in the oven. It takes a couple hours on low heat to dry them out, but I make enough to fill 1/2 of a medium freezer bag. I just throw a small container into the diaper bag when we go swimming on Thursdays. Keeps him occupied while I get changed.
Crackers are a hit too. He likes home made wheat thins (but I make them without adding salt). The regular ones are a bit sweet, since I add honey to the dough. I've made tomato and basil ones that went down well. Graham crackers and lactose free goldfish crackers are favorites.
I buy raisins only when they're on sale. Tesco generally has the small sunmaid boxes for around ?2.50. They last us a couple days, and they're cheaper than at Boots for the Organix brand. I've also made fruit leather for him. They end up the same texture as fruit roll ups, but he doesn't mind.
Veggie chips are a favorite of his. I slice carrots, sweet potatoes, parsnips and beetroot. Put them in the oven coated with a tiny amount of olive oil, and cook them on low heat until crisp. Then they're put in an airtight container, and last quite awhile (if I don't get to them first).
If you're looking for specific recipes for the girls, let me know and I'll add it to my bag and show you on Monday.

I used this recipe, but took out the salt and paprika. Occasionally I'll add some cinnamon to the dough, and sprinkle the tops lightly with cinnamon and sugar before baking.

Thanks for posting this - it's given me some new ideas. I think I'll try the veggie chips this week.
You mentioned graham crackers - are those ones you've brought over? Do you buy themhere? Make them?
You and your baby snack recipes/ideas rock my socks off.
Haven't used that expression in about 10 years, but it seemed appropriate because of the sheer awesomeness of what you feed your child, haha.
Once baby C gets a little older I'll have to add this to the list of things to try! Thanks, great ideas.
I make the graham crackers. They taste better than boxed, but tend to go stale quite quickly. I make a small batch of those, and cut the dough in 1 inch squares.
I use this recipe:

Instead of refrigerating overnight, I roll it into a ball and cover with cling film, and pop it into the freezer for about 20 minutes. The dough firms up nicely, but remember to flour your counter top quite well, because the dough is still a bit sticky. You could add a bit more flour to the dough too if you wanted.
Thanks
