Any Whines?

Since my wish for the power to go out sending us all home today didn't happen, I'll whine about that.

But I'll also whine about phone greeting etiquette.  When did it become acceptable for people to have their voicemail greeting messages as if they were speaking from the pulpit at Sunday service?  This, coming from a pretty religious person, finds it truly unacceptable to have to leave a message for you after listening to 3 minutes of you screaming bible passages at me.  It drives me batsh!t and I find it rude that people do it.

Re: Any Whines?

  • I'm a little pissed off at my DCP. Her child has had a fever for 4 days now and every time I pick up A, he is downstairs in the daycare area. Her H is home this week, so I'm not sure why DC is not upstairs with his father. I just got a text that at least three other children are now sick, coughing, runny nose, etc. DD already has a runny nose from teething and has been sleeping like crap. Tomorrow they are suppose to be going to the Zoo, I took off to go w/them. Do I really want to spend the morning w/sick children??

  • DH worked until 9/10 all last week and has Monday and yesterday, and I'm freaking sick of it.  I don't like doing it all myself, and I'm lonely after J goes to bed and I'm left doing the dishes/dogs alone, we usually chat and help each other out.

J is getting his incisors in and woke up every hour last night crying/whining.  He's never done this, even as a NB to 6 weeks he would wake up once every 3 to 4 hours and then at 6 weeks started sleeping in 6 to 8 hour stretches.  I'm tired.

Gosh I hear you on this one! I'm so thankful that DH got himself a new job. Now he gets to help with A this week. She's been a nightmare with the teething. Praying this ends soon for all of us momma's.

  • Today I walked into work and heard about how miserable I look (again) and then a coworker told me that she and another lady decided I looked like I was having a big baby (again - 3rd time this particular coworker has told me). When I responded that we were measuring right on track, the other lady proceeded to say "Well it'd really be too bad if you did have a small or average sized baby and then you regret providing them w/ all that extra cushioning."

I.am.so.done. I feel so blessed to be pregnant but I am SO.DONE listening to how fat, swollen, round, large, miserable, huge, etc. I look.

  • First off- I feel you on the incisors- DS has one of his in and is working on the other 3 and apparently this week he has made the switch from 2 naps to one, which sucks.

2nd- we were supposed to get a new bathroom vanity (cabinet, granite counter, sink, etc.) put in on tuesday.  Tuesday AM we get a phone call from the stone place, due to a power outage they are going to have to do it today, is that OK.  Yes, it's fine, I can't complain as we got the counter top via a charity auction, so we paid probably 50% of it's retail.  The plumbers come in and take off the old counter and the old sink and mount the cabinet frame to the wall.  Today- no stone guys.  So tomorrow is going to be day 3 of not having a bathroom sink and in reality there is no way we can have the sink hooked up before Friday, so it's going to be 4 days total.  Which really annoys me.  I hope this sh!t looks good when it's all done!

I'm sorry. People are dumb. At that point in my pregnancy, I was working in my office with the door closed all the time because I didn't have it in me to talk to anyone. about anything. You're close. Try not to kill anyone in the next couple of weeks. :)

  • Our car window was smashed this morning and we had left the Garmin in the glove box. Needless to say, the Garmin is no longer. Grrrr.
