I'm so excited about how this turned out. There are definitely "mistakes" and my final corner is horrible but I am SO happy over all. I ended up using the sash of the BM dress as the binding! The green photographed much brighter than it is IRL. It is really a light pistachio green. It's much smaller than I hoped for but there was only one panel on the dress that was large enough to do anything with and the seams were all diagonal in opposite directions since it was a skirt... oh well, babies are small haha
(for those who missed my earlier post, this is my BM dress from my best friend's wedding, I was her matron of honor... she just found out she is pregnant and obviously doesn't know if it is a boy or girl yet... and since I will not wear the dress again... no, no one does! I figure why not make it into something she can use!!!)

Brilliant! Seriously brilliant!
I have to tell DD; she has a couple of "those" dresses.
Speaking of "those dresses", why does everyone say, "I love this dress and I'll totally wear it again", but never do?
So, again, Brilliant!

you are making me blush!!! Thank you!
When I went to get dresses with my BM I said "I know you won't wear them again... and I'm sorry but you can't come naked" no one really shortens them and wears them again haha
I am in a wedding in a few week with a baby blue dress and I had one from a few years ago that was a hideous pink satin (that made great ruffles for my niece's onesie that I made her!) so at least they are getting some kind of rebirth!!!! (pun intended) ;-)
It turned out awesome.
