Bella is home!

She came home last night but it was hectic and today was also so just posting now but she is doing well. She's tired and sore but yesterday was the most minor of surgeries and she just had, ahem, a large piece of plastic in her. We have these toys that are soft but instead of stuffing it's just a plastic cage almost that holds their shape. Well, Spike shreds them because Nya, another foster, tries to play with them and Spike is forever looking to ruin all fun in this house. So, apparently Bella got a hold of a piece and ate it. It was a quick and simple surgery though and a small incision because they were able to open her right where it was caught and didn't have anything else to remove.

She's on crate rest now for two weeks with anti inflammatory meds and they'll try to do surgery after she is done the pills and crate rest. Poor thing, she is so bitter that she can't run with the puppies!

Speaking of puppies.. we have had Eve at the vet because she also ate things she shouldn't have while she was a stray and needed more serious surgery and about 2 weeks to recover at the vet before she could even leave. Please look at the first picture then scroll down to all they pulled out of her little belly- http://midatlanticbullybuddiesorg.chipin.com/eves-vet-bill
I honestly have no idea how all of that came out of her. A plastic helmet, full acorns, beads, tons of long sticks, it was crazy.

So, of course her and Bella were both able to come home yesterday and I figured why not keep her while she recovers too? Here is Bella and Eve resting up after their adventures at the vet. The black puppy, Eve, is just the laziest puppy ever and has no other excuse :)

Thank you all so much for the good thoughts for her! I will update again after her next surgery and hopefully she'll be back the thieving in no time!
