Hershey help

Hi ladies!  DH and I are celebrating our 2 year anniversary this coming week and have decided to do an overnight in Hershey to celebrate (we wanted to do something longer/further away, but it looks like we might be selling our house this week, so we need to save up money *fingers crossed*).  So, right now our thought it to drive down on Sunday (it'll take us around 2 hours) and arrive around noon or 1.  We know we'd like to have dinner at Devon.  Monday we will go to the park for the whole day (and then drive home from there).  So, any suggestions for some romantic things on Sunday?  We know we can get into the park for a bit before closing Sunday night for free with our tickets for Monday, but we aren't set on doing that.  We also might end up going Monday and Tuesday (instead of Sunday and Monday).  Also, any hotel recommendations (we've stayed at White Rose before, but it doesn't really scream romance)?  The Hotel Hershey is out of our budget (we are considering the Hershey Lodge).  Thanks!!

Re: Hershey help

  • On Sunday from noon-5, you can visit the tasting room at Cullari Vineyards & Winery located on E Chocolate Ave.  I haven't tried it yet, but I'm going on Saturday (with a groupon deal).  They also have the outlets at Hershey.  I'm not much help with the area, so I don't know about hotels.  If you're looking for a place to eat, I'm hearing The Hershey Pantry is awesome!
    Married 6/10/09 in Bermuda.
  • I love Hershey Gardens.  That's a good option.  I second Hershey Pantry for dinner.  There is also a fun chocolate tasting thing at the Hershey Story.  As far as lodging check out the Inn at Westwynd Farm.  Looks lovely!
  • Not sure if its too late, but the Hershey lodge isnt anything special. Its nice having on site bars and restaurants; and they do have a nice indoor and outdoor pool, but this time of year its overrun with kids and families.Personally, i think they are overpriced.

The Hilton Garden Inn is nice, and usually much less expensive
