JuliD, GRSP, Wop, and others who do NOT have smart phones.

My husband sent this to me this morning, and I think it's hilarious. (I do not have one of those fancy phones.) Just thought I'd share.
Re: JuliD, GRSP, Wop, and others who do NOT have smart phones.
too funny!
I'm worse than all of you.. I have Tracfone.
Oh well, I just bought a year card for $100 and I shoudn't have to worry about adding more minutes. I guess $8 a month is better than $80-$100.
Ha ha - Nice. :-)
GVSU - We were actually considering getting a TracFone for me. I am all for it, but the H now wants me to get an iPhone. I *think* he may have talked me into it, only because we'll actually lower our monthly phone bill (although we'd lower it MORE if I did TracFone).
That is hilarious! Love it.
Juli, get an iPhone.
Juli, how would it lower the bill? Jim's shooting for an iphone, and I'm not convinced.
lol.
Everybody just get an iPhone!!!!

Our current bill includes 2 phones. Andy will be canceling the plan for his phone and using his work Blackberry as his sole phone.
So, the cost for 1 iPhone w/data plan < the cost of 2 phones currently
Because iPhone owners are a cult. Can't you tell from their intense recruitment efforts? Don't drink the Kool-aid!
Just kidding, guys.
That comic is funny
I keep wondering what school is going to be like for Mere. Like 10 years down the road when she's in middle school. Technology is crazy.
I have a Droid X. I love it. I love being able to figure things out/look things up while I'm out rather than making 10 different trips to stores, look up directions, sales, make my grocery list, compare prices and get my personal email at work (I don't have much, but sometimes it is important and I don't use my school email for personal issues because it can be read). Smart phones are costly, though. We only got them because my H's work pays for his since he can check/fix their computer system through his X rather than carrying his laptop everywhere (like around Chicago when we go- I kid you not, we hauled a laptop with us.).
I will say we use Mike's Blackberry for navigation a lot, but that is company issued. Smart phones can be handy.
I want an iPhone, but I can't get with paying the data plan. I'll keep my dumb phone for know. I never worry about giving it to Henry to distract him. If he dropped it - oh well.
gvsu - less than $10 a month sounds awesome to me.
It totally is a cult! I would prefer that you all get Verizon iPhones (Thanks, Molly!) so as not to jam up my ATT towers, though :P
It's funny; I was really anti-smart phone. Then ATT came out with the super cheap data plan (which is a trick, btw) and we decided that we could pay $15 extra for me to have an iPhone, which I thought I would use mostly for calls. Wrong again! Turns out I use more data than L, who thought he was a heavy data user. I use it for nesting, email, blog reading, games, texting, with Nike+ as a gps/iPod for running and even as a planner/notebook. It's crazy how fast it's became an integral part of my daily life.
I secretly hoping that TH's work upgrades his phone to an Iphone. He has some plan with internet access but it is PITA. The screen shows up super small, like I mean 4pt font. You can click on something to make it bigger but it doesn't work /12 the time. We tried using it to view radar when we went camping but it didn't work with crap.
I think TH would divorce me if I got a smart phone.
He already gets annoyed with how much time I spend on the computer. I know I would be bad with a smart phone.
It was strange when we were on vacation seeing him check his emails on his phones several times a day. He has never been like that before, however I think he is still trying to make a good impression at work, so he responded to work (plus it made it easier to go back to work with a less full inbox)
Ha! Hilarious.
Sorry for the threadjack, but I have to mention this is another of my tourist annoyances this summer. Service is already spotty at the beach in Grand Haven, but with the influx of Chicagoans who all have iPhones, my iPhone becomes a brick. This is especially annoying when I'm trying to earn dukedoms on Yelp--can't check in when there's no signal!
Some people I work with have a term for those people from Chicago. FIBs. FIB = *** Illinois bastards.
YES!! Do it right now! GO GO GO!!!
