First weekend away from L

This past weekend DH and I went to a friend's wedding and left Lucie overnight (for 2 nights actually) for the first time! It was really hard on me, I missed her so much! We did have fun but it was weird not having her around. It's crazy to think about considering a year ago I didn't know what it would be like with her!

    Kudos to you!  My first nights away from Bug will be in a couple of weeks when I have the baby.  I have been pestering my sister for a trial run before D-Day, but as usual, that just falls through every time.  ::facepalm::  So much to worry about =(.  Glad you enjoyed your weekend! It's always nice to get away! =)

    I'm glad you had a good time at the wedding!  I bet it was really weird, though, not having her around.  I know it's not the same, but it always feel odd when we go somewhere without Satchel (he often just comes with us and sits in the car when we go places).

    People always thought i was crazy b/c I brought my kids with me or I didn't go...non parents just don't get it...Lately though it's been much better...there's hope!..lol..ALTHOUGHT..i still haven't left vivi over night..lol.

    Try to have a trial run night away from bug if you can..we didn't with luke and um...it didn't go very well..

    My sister has been promising me since December for a trial run, but ALWAYS has something going on or doesn't feel good (worries me that I will have to make Drew stay at home while I am at the hospital to watch him, because something else might come up).  The only other person is Bug's babysitter, but she is in process of moving her stuff to her college apartment and starts school days before my section.  I have maybe 2 weekends left and I am not feeling great about it.  I will have too much to worry about at the hospital to start with, but add THAT anxiety of not seeing my kid on top of it... it may pop me over the edge =(  I sure do love that little boy of mine!  And looking back, I have put him to bed and said his night time prayers with him every single night since he was born, with the exception of once... my nephew's graduation.  That didn't go very well, for either of us... the only flicker of hope is that that was a year ago. =/  Maybe we have both grown up a little! ;)

    I think he will be fine while you are gone. It will be worse on you than him. 2 yr olds are super adaptable. Luke was mad at us after we got home. not sure if it was bc we left him for 3 nights or bc we brought home something that took away some of his attention...OR b/c he was just 2! lol

    I'm not worried AT ALL about Chase.  He'll do great.  It's me I am worried about =X
