Today's living social deal
Holy Moly! It is $10 for an $80 session(s) for Glazed Expressions. What a great deal! I have never been, but did purchase the deal. Anyone been there before? Would this be something for me and the DH/friends, or would an 18 month old be able to do it?

Re: Today's living social deal
I would be a nervous wreck to bring Ana (20 mos) right now. All of the pottery is floor to ceiling and just sitting on shelves so you really have to watch.
I can't see my friends and I doing this but then we're not artsy. If you're the artsy type then it might be fun. You still have to buy the pottery in addition to the session but some of the things start at $12.
Ah, this is good to know! I was thinking we would maybe do a few pieces for the nursery, or for people's gifts for XMas, etc (which, actually, hopefully my DH can do, as I am not artsy at all and have trouble with stick figures).
Also good to know about the delicate set up of the store. Kellen is at an age where he likes to grab everything and put it on the ground (such as in Target), so this may be an outing with just DH and I (if I can get him to go!)
Hey Shea- I have 8 sessions, so if you want to go to any, just let me know and I can use on us!
Sounds great!

We've gone twice now, when DS1 was almost 1, and had just turned 2. He makes me something for my birthday each year. We do it with 2 adults, team work thing. We look at their website so we have an idea of what we think would be good to paint, and give a few options in the car to DS1. Then DH holds Will while Will selects his piece. DH holds Will while we pick out paint, but Will is allowed to pick out his own stamps. We're in charge of paint, but we let Will paint. We've done handprints each time. Last time we also let William go crazy painting a Christmas ornament, and he was all over that. it was cheap, and he was very proud of it. He's also so impressed with the art he's made me-last years is a large platter plate that we use at the table. The first year he made me a coffee mug.
It's doable, but have a plan going in.
The paint is very washable off skin, not sure on clothes, as we've been lucky to not get it on clothes yet.
