What did you end up doing with your blueberry haul?
I went this morning and was able to get 8.5 lbs before Henry called it quits. I know I will freeze some for muffins and pancakes over the year. And I think we are going to do blueberry infused vodka. But I need some more ideas.
Re: GRsweetpea Re:blueberries
We went to Woodland Enterprises Berry Farms in Zeeland. My sister and I have gone here for years and just really love the people who run the farm. The berries are always good. 8.5 lbs for $10.75.
If you are interested, there are a few places listed on here that say they use natural growing practices. Maybe you already know these places, though.
I want to go back. I could pick blueberries all day long.
If you go back (or Kasa, if you want company) I might come too! I enjoyed it (except for the 93 degree heat part).
I got a little over 6 pounds. We ate probably a pound with meals and snacks over 2 days. I put a few handfulls in the zucchini bread muffins that I made. Mmmmm... I made freezer jam with the other 5 pounds. It yielded about 10 cups of jam.
We bought 10 pounds from Kingmas a month ago. I froze all of those guys, knowing we'll eat them in the fall and winter.

Blueberry mojitos sound awesome. I am all about finding boozy ways to enjoy the blueberries.
Tigers - Those recipes look awesome - I think I will make the overnight french toast for this Saturday.
I'm about 85% sure I will go back out and will let you all know in case anyone wants to have fun on the farm with me and Henry.
When were you going to have us over?
We just had it this last weekend. Yum!!! This post his peaked my interest in blueberries. I might have to visit that farm at some point. They are really good for you!!
Thanks!
They were when I asked people last year.
When is the next picking party? I'd love to get in on it, if it's later than next Thursday.

We went last week, and I found no reason for long pants or sleeves. The plants aren't scratchy, and the bugs weren't bad. But maybe that was the place we were at.
Tigers, and anyone else on Pinterest, seach for "blueberry" lots of great suggestions there too.
A group outing sounds good, but my schedule is really not my own these days. If anyone goes, and wants company, looks like you could get some by posting here.
